What's up Formafam!

With the end of 2024, we hope you've had a successful year training and sending your projects! We would like to give you a long-overdue update about what is going on with the formaDUE (Bluetooth load cell) and our pathway going forward into 2025.

Update on the formaDUE:The last two months have been an absolute whirlwind of prototyping, designing, and most importantly, testing. Every time we thought we had a solution, a new problem came about, but we are excited to finally give you a complete update.

We hit a mechanical problem regarding how the load cell accounted for lateral force (sideways, not just vertical pulling). While this issue was a dealbreaker initially, we did eventually solve it (yay!).

However, with the new design, it sets us back a month due to the need for a redesigned load cell (exciting!) and supply delays spilling into the new year.

Cancellation of Kickstarter:In light of this, we have also decided to cancel our Kickstarter process. We've deemed it unnecessary as most of our sales will likely be in person, and we want to get the Forma Due in your hands as soon as possible!

So, with the cancellation of our Kickstarter campaign, we can have the formaDUE in your hands as early as March 2025. Pre-orders will likely open around January, reducing our timeline by 7 months (the original sale was planned for October 2025). Crazy!

Hopefully, this puts the last two months into perspective for you.

We’ve worked hard to stay true to our original schedule (technically saving more time recently) and will continue to work hard to produce the ultimate training product for you, just like we promised.

Introducing the formaUNO:Additionally, there has been community interest in a passive version of the Forma Due. We listened and are excited to announce the Forma Uno: a metal lifting 20mm edge (no load cell). This product will be released around late January 2025.

If you're interested in the formaUNO, hang tight. We're setting up a pre-order link and will update you via email. Plus, we’re offering a massive 50% discount on our first 25 units at $60(RRP $120). Those who have tested our current prototype know the power and innovation of our 20mm edge, so this is a huge bargain!
